How to Gamble on Electronic Poker

[ English ]

Video Poker is a favored game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos all over the globe, or in your house on your personal computer, through a web connection. The game rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player trying to achieve the highest mixture of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, apart from the line of contact with any other players. Of course, techniques used in a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will then be "distributed" on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the player has chosen which cards he or she wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards are needed they will be given out. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.

Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can range from game to game, so that skillful gamblers are agile enough to pick the most profitable game each time.

After the first round has completed, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game give the player an opportunity to double their winnings, in which case another hand is played. There are also variations among individual machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
