Video Poker is a popular game that is able to be bet on in casinos across the globe, or in your house on your computer, through a web account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to get the greatest assemblage of cards as you can in order to come away with cash. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, minus the interaction with other players. After the player has selected which cards he or she would like to keep, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards are needed they will be given out. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.

Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that skillful bettors are agile enough to select the most money-making machine each instance.

After the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that has been won. Additionally, some styles of the game give the player an opportunity to increase their wins, in which case a further game is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
